How many Cuban Sandwiches has Villa Verde sold?
Well, not yet — but it’s been a part of the menu since the beginning and it remains one of the Dominican restaurant’s most popular items.
It’s made with our famous, fall-off-the-bone pork shoulder that’s roasted for 14 hours, a slice of juicy ham, Swiss cheese, crunchy pickles and mustard in Cuban bread. It’s pressed onto the flat-top grill to melt the cheese. Delicioso!
Yordanys began serving the Cuban Sandwich from the Villa Verde food truck in December 2014. The ECU students and late-night revelers who visited the food truck loved it.
When Yordanys and his wife Eridania opened Villa Verde restaurant in August 2015, they included the Cuban Sandwich on the menu.
